A walk of about an hour led by National Slate Museum staff, following the story of slate around Parc Padarn, including Vivian Quarry, the inclines and the Blondin, finishing at Dinorwig Quarry Hospital. Abergele Town Council’s fireworks display on Pensarn Beach. A low-noise display starts at 6:30pm, followed by the main display at 7:30pm.
Sparklers and alcohol are not allowed on site. Road closures are expected around Pensarn Promenade, so walking to the event is encouraged.

The Lord Mayor’s Spooktacular Fireworks returns to Chester Racecourse on Halloween night. Doors open at 5pm, with a junior display at 6:45pm and the main display at 7:30pm. Gates close at 9pm.
Tickets are £15, and under-4s go free. The evening includes a fairground (rides cost extra) and LED light performances.
